Winter Wheat
Two Loaves of Mark Twain Organic Whole Wheat Bread!!! The students from Mr. Koonce's seventh Grade math class ground the wheat berries from their harvest into flour. This yielded two loaves of bread. Please click on Winter Wheat for pictures
The students seemed disappointed that in 6 months their approximently 100 square foot garden plot only yeilded two loaves of bread. The question arose how much land and time does it take to provided bread for 300,000,000 people on a daily basis?
Stay Tuned, next year students in the garden elective class will cultivate more land and grow a variety of produce!!!
